Dr. Ar’neka is a rehab Chiropractor, myofascial specialist, movement expert, and co-founder of Resilient Spine. She earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic as well as her Masters in Sports Exercise Science from Life University where she also worked as a sports chiropractor for their athletic program. She believes that moms are athletes. From the ones who bend over to pick up their kids to the ones that attend fitness classes with their friends. Moms should train for everyday life. Her passion is to help women move better, feel better and build resilience to live their best lives and do all the things they want to do!
Dr. Heather D. Evans was an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Sociology; Disability Studies Program; and the Law, Societies & Justice Department at the University of Washington. She has conducted both statistical analyses and ethnographic fieldwork. Heather’s current work examines “invisible disability”, focusing on disclosure and identity management among people with physical, mental, and sensory differences that are not readily apparent. She is also committed to community based research and does consulting work for local organizations, primarily focusing on disparities within the criminal justice system. Broadly, she is interested in processes of social marginalization and identifying ways to expand access to opportunity structures through institutional change.
Jeff is a career nonprofit manager with a passion for professional education and program management. He brings a wealth of strategic planning, event management, and individual and organizational development experience to the WSCA having worked with professional trade associations and charitable nonprofits all over the United States. Jeff holds the prestigious Certified Association Executive designation and a Masters in Applied Ethics from Arizona State University, focusing on public policy and nonprofit management. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies and Political Science from the University of Idaho and studied law at Whittier Law School. Jeff currently serves on the board of ChiroCongress, representing District 5 (AK, AZ, CA, HI, ID, NV, OR, UT, & WA). In addition to his professional pursuits, Jeff works with several organizations around the Puget Sound. Notably, he is a volunteer, former board member, and former vice president of Pasado’s Safe Haven. Jeff lives in Tacoma with his wife, Beth, their cat, Oliver, and their dog, Strasse.
