Description

WSCA Connect is the premier multi-day continuing education event of the year in Washington. This year's event is October 3-5 at the Marriott Downtown Tacoma.

  • 30 days from the event: full refund issued
  • 14 days from the event: 50% refund issued
  • 13 days or less: no refund
  • No show: no refund regardless of when you paid

Service Animal Policy

The WSCA seeks to create an environment conducive to learning at its continuing education programs. Although service animals are always welcome, pets, companion, and other non-service animals will not be permitted at WSCA events. Attendees who bring such animals into our events will be asked to leave them outside, or alternatively, leave the event and no refund will be issued.

Dr. Brian Chan, a native of Kent, WA, is a second-generation chiropractor. He received his chiropractic degree from Palmer College Of Chiropractic in San Jose, CA, where he graduated with honors and cum laude in 2002. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT for his undergraduate studies. Although Dr. Chan loved the warm sunny Californian weather, he was happy to move home to Seattle to join the practice with his brother and father.

As a chiropractor, Dr. Chan's specialty includes the treatment and management of work-related and whiplash injuries. He spends many weekends attending continuing education in the fields of whiplash treatment and work injury management. In 2009, he became a graduate of the Spine Research Institute Of San Diego's Whiplash And Brain Injury Traumatology program, which offers the most in-depth, science-based training available today covering the entire spectrum from the physics of motor vehicle crashs to human biomechanics to diagnostic and management. In 2010, he completed the Advanced Certification in Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology, the highest achievement offered by the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. He is an active member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Fucinari has helped train doctors and staff over the last 20 years. He received his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1986. After graduating from Palmer College, Dr. Fucinari completed studies in chiropractic orthopedics and attained his certification as a chiropractic sports physician. He currently practices full time in Decatur, Illinois and is on the faculty and post-grad faculty at Logan Chiropractic College. Dr. Fucinari is a certified medical compliance specialist. He was the recipient of the 2003 President's Award from the Illinois Chiropractic Society for his work with education and training.

Naota Hashimoto, DC  was introduced to chiropractic care after a head-on collision left him in chronic pain despite months of traditional treatment. The experience inspired him to pursue chiropractic, eventually opening a practice in La Quinta, CA, with his wife, also a chiropractor. Thaddeus “Zeb” Mercer is a 31-year veteran of the Seattle Fire Department. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Washington in 1980. His service for the city as a firefighter began in October of 1980 and he served as a firefighter-paramedic from 1985 to 1993. In that year he was promoted to lieutenant, assigned to the training division and tasked with the training and certification of approximately 800 EMTs. During his tenure, he became a certified “Senior EMT” instructor. His last duty assignment was as a medical services officer Lieutenant Paramedic supervising 20 paramedics in the field. Although now retired from the fire service, Lt. Mercer brings with him a vast knowledge base of practical experience, knowledge, and skill to his instruction. He is a dynamic instructor who is in high demand across the country, as well as a longtime supporter of chiropractic.

Jennifer Pedley, MS, DC, CCSP, DACBR resides in Redlands, California. She achieved her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-medicine and in Exercise and Sport Science at University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. Her doctorate degree in chiropractic was obtained at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She also completed the radiology residency at National University of Health Sciences and successfully passed American Chiropractic Board of Radiology examination. During the residency, she achieved a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in diagnostic imaging, a diplomate as a board certified chiropractic radiologist and a Certified Chiropractic Sport Physician (C.C.S.P)®. Following the residency, Jennifer also attended a visiting radiology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Today, Jennifer has a private radiology consulting practice reading for medical and chiropractic doctors, and imaging centers such as University Medical Imaging in Sacramento, CA. She is also the Past president of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology (ACCR), a radiology lecturer for organizations in California and for Foot Levelers.

Dr. Les White graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1967 and had been in private practice in Burien, WA for the past 50 years. Dr. Ron Wilcox became a chiropractic consultant for the Department of Labor and Industries in1995. Two years later, he took the chiropractic-approved examiners course to become an approved examiner for the Department. Since that time, Dr. Wilcox has been providing second opinion consults for local area chiropractors on their injured workers and rating or closing examinations for the Department. He has nearly 20 years of service with L&I on its IICAC and ACHIEV committees. He is also the District 10 representative on the WSCA Board of Directors, and the District 5 representative to the Clinical Compass.

Dr. Morgan Young is the Associate Medical Director for Chiropractic at the State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries.  He is a rural Western-Washington native and UW alum. He spent his formative chiropractic years in Silicon Valley at Palmer College of Chiropractic West and eight years of multi-disciplinary practice at Cisco Systems. His practice experience includes contracted work in occupational medicine at Kaiser Permanente and corporate onsite healthcare for the Stanford School of Medicine. His 10 years at Palmer West included research and lecturing across anatomy, diagnosis, evidence-based practices, and integrated care. He is happy to be back home in Washington and looking forward to helping the state’s injured workers return to work healthy!

Parking Information

Parking at WSCA Connect '25 will be plentiful. If you are staying in the conference hotel, we suggest you park in their secure garage. Parking fees for guests range between $16 and $26 per day.

If you're not a guest at the conference hotel, you may still be able to park there.  Between the hotel and the convention center, you will have ample parking options within one block of the venue, but we still suggest you plan your parking ahead of time.  Here are two options:
