The training will be an intense 4 hours that includes one-on-one instructions and hands on technique. Each trainee is provided with a training mannequin and upon satisfactory completion of the course will receive a two-year HCP CPR certification. The instructor and training are certified by the American Heart Association. There are 4 CEs available! The WSCA Board of Directors recommends that providers, their staff and their families have CPR certification training and to have it renewed every two years.

Service Animal Policy
The WSCA seeks to create an environment conducive to learning at its continuing education programs. Although service animals are always welcome, pets, companion, and other non-service animals will not be permitted at WSCA events. Attendees who bring such animals into our events will be asked to leave them outside, or alternatively, leave the event and no refund will be issued.
Thaddeus “Zeb” Mercer is a 31-year veteran of the Seattle Fire Department. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Washington in 1980. His service for the city as a firefighter began in October of 1980 and he served as a firefighter-paramedic from 1985 to 1993. In that year he was promoted to lieutenant, assigned to the training division and tasked with the training and certification of approximately 800 EMTs. During his tenure, he became a certified “Senior EMT” instructor. His last duty assignment was as a medical services officer Lieutenant Paramedic supervising 20 paramedics in the field. Although now retired from the fire service, Lt. Mercer brings with him a vast knowledge base of practical experience, knowledge, and skill to his instruction. He is a dynamic instructor who is in high demand across the country, as well as a longtime supporter of chiropractic.
